Le bénazépril étant contre-indiqué aux 2ème et 3ème trimestres de la grossesse, il est préférable d’envisager un autre traitement antihypertenseur dès le 1er trimestre chez une femme enceinte. Aux 2ème et 3ème trimestres, le bénazépril est contre-indiqué en raison de sa toxicité fœtale avérée.

Dans l’hypertension artérielle on préférera si possible un autre antihypertenseur pendant la grossesse. Dans le traitement des œdèmes d’origine cardiaque, rénale ou hépatique, l’utilisation de l’hydrochlorothiazide est envisageable en cours de grossesse en l’absence d’alternative thérapeutique. Si le traitement est poursuivi jusqu’à l’accouchement, en informer les intervenants prenant en charge le nouveau-né, pour qu’ils puissent adapter la surveillance (ionogramme, diurèse).
